| Zetafax is a powerful software package which runs on a PC network (LAN). It allows users on the network to receive faxes on screen and send faxes straight from their PCs. It can merge a document onto a letterhead and generate a coversheet automatically if required before sending. One PC on the network is set up to be the fax server. Connected to this PC are one or more fax modems or fax cards. In most cases the fax server does not need to be a dedicated PC. The Email Gateway will allow you to send and receive email and faxes from a single interface. Documents for sending can be created using most word processors, spreadsheets, etc. Faxes can also include graphics images such as signatures. The Workstation software uses Microsoft Windows 9X/NT/2000/XP. There are two versions of the fax server programs, a 32-bit fax server which will run on a Windows 9X/NT/2000/XP Server or Workstation. However, whatever combination of programs you use, the functions provided are the same - you need only learn how to use the programs once. Version 9 New Features: New fax server installation and configuration process. New Zetafax Client - redesigned to mirror the look and feel of Microsoft Outlook 2003. New Outlook Fax Client installed using MSI installer. It is now easier to fax from Microsoft Outlook, with a choice of coversheet, letterhead and return for preview options available. Support for the latest platforms: - Microsoft Exchange 2003 - Microsoft Office 2003 - Lotus Domino 6.5 V.34 modem support - Zetafax modem device driver now supports the V.34 faxing standard available in most standard modems e.g. from manufacturers such as Multitech and Mainpine. PDF Document Conversion - capability for conversion of faxed documents to PDF file format. |
