|
P2P Killer is an application that runs in the background and is undetectable by the user. The application then checks the users computer every few seconds for known P2P file sharing applications and shuts them down.
This software works on the basis of the class names of each of the core components of the individual applications. Therefore the software will work even if users try and change the software executable file name or any other settings that can be changed by the user.
Furthermore as the user can not see that the P2P Killer Software is running, they have no ability of circumventing the system.
The Software currently shuts down all versions of the following P2P applications:
Kazaa
Kazaa Lite
Emule
Mirc
Lime Wire
Overnet
eDonkey
New applications are being added at the moment, however if you would like to request a specific application to be added to the P2P Killer software please let us know @ support@palmersoft.co.uk.
Please note that the application does not display any type of dialog once installed. Therefore once installed you will not see any reference that the software is installed, rest assured that if you do not receive any errors during installation then the software is working correctly. |
