Lorien
About Lorien
Lorien is an infinite canvas drawing and note-taking application designed for Windows, Linux, and macOS. Built using the Godot Game Engine, it focuses on performance, small save file sizes, and simplicity. Unlike bitmap-based tools like Krita or Photoshop, Lorien saves brush strokes as collections of points, rendering them dynamically at runtime, similar to SVG. It is primarily intended as a digital notebook and brainstorming tool, though it can also be used for sketches and diagrams. The application is still a work in progress and may undergo changes in its save file format.
The app supports multiple documents simultaneously and includes features like infinite undo/redo, zoom, and grid. It is designed for use with drawing tablets and includes pressure sensitivity support. Lorien also offers SVG export, rebindable keyboard shortcuts, and built-in and custom color palettes. Localizations are available in multiple languages.
