NoteKit is a hierarchical markdown notetaking application built with GTK3. It allows users to organize notes in a tree structure with folders and supports instant markdown formatting. The application includes tablet input capabilities for hand-drawn notes using mouse, touchscreen, or digitizer.
The software aims to provide a free, platform-independent alternative to OneNote with a focus on structured note organization and standard on-disk formats. It is currently in late alpha development, with core functionality for creating and editing notes already implemented.
